PORTLAND BORN AND RAISED. INTERNATIONALLY ACCREDITED

I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and Girls Gone Strong Certified Pre and Postnatal Coach, and (NASM CPT & FNS, GGS CPPS) living in Portland, Oregon where I was born and raised.

I also am a Certified International Fitness Academy Personal Trainer which allowed me to meet requirements to be a personal trainer in Australia.

In late 2015, I decided to begin exercising again after a long break. Up until this point, exercising in a gym was either non existent or would be during a “health kick” that would eventually end. I remember driving to the gym that day on a whim to sign up without any hesitation. I was determined to make a change, even if I didn’t really know where to start. Starting was all it took to light this fire of determination in me. I was determined to never quit, get healthier and stronger, and I took baby steps to get there. Since that day, I haven’t stopped.

I began with what I knew, which was cardio and abdominal workouts, but added some free weights and machines as well. I soon began taking weekly classes at my gym and learned new exercises. I also followed programs I had purchased online. I slowly built my confidence in different areas of the gym and learned to use new equipment, and I eventually made the squat rack my second home.

When I first began, my main goal was to change my body physically, but I instantly felt the incredible effects on my energy and confidence; and knew there was more to it than physical results, such as my mental health.

It is important to note that my nutrition has changed fairly drastically throughout this time as well. Before, I truly didn’t know that fat gain came from overeating in calories, not just from “unhealthy” food. I tried to change my diet to less mindless snacking and adding in more vegetables, but I placed unnecessary restrictions on myself. Along the way still towards the beginning, I developed a sense of guilt whenever I would eat something that was less “clean” than what I normally ate.

Eventually I found a better balance for me, but it wasn’t quite where I needed it to be to achieve maximum results; mentally and physically. It wasn’t until I was studying for my certification in 2018 that I finally reached a true balance. I can indulge without feeling guilt, and I am finally eating to make my body happy, fuel my workouts, and achieve my desired results.

A few months after being consistent in the gym, my now husband moved away from Portland back home to Australia and we began a long distance relationship. Investing my time in becoming stronger and educating myself on fitness and nutrition helped me get through that period in my life.

After about a year of being fully committed to this lifestyle, I moved to Australia for a year. During this time, I fell even more in love with exercise and I knew I wanted to make it my career. Upon moving home in early 2018, I began my Personal Training course and ever since have been taking the necessary steps of turning my passion into a career of helping people become healthier, happier, and more confident.

In 2022 I moved back to Australia where I re-certified under the requirements of the Australian government and was a personal trainer for a year abroad before moving back home again.

Clients of mine become friends that are like family and it is the joy of my life watching people be their happiest, healthiest most confident selves. I can’t wait to meet you!
